NYC: AVARICE THE MUSICAL: MUSIC & LYRICS BY J. WILLIAM BRUCE
Avarice The Musical will be performed at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, August 24th at 9:30 pm. The cast of Avarice The Musical will be singing songs from their upcoming production. Music and Lyrics by J. William Bruce. Starring Tom Ashton, John Raymond Barker, Richard Binder, Lindsay Lavin, Kristin Piacentile, Leanne Surace, and Chadwick Vogel. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: LOUIS VANARIA & LUCY CARACAPPA ARE THE L TRAIIN
New York City's cabaret duo, The L-Train, will perform atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, August 24th at 7:00 pm. The L-Train, featuring vocalists Louis Vanaria and Lucy Caracappa, will be performing toe tapping renditions of some of your favorite duets and heartwarming pop and theater solos from a range of artists such as Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Streisand, Buble, Cher, Sinatra and much, much more! Louis Vanaria is a television/ movie actor/ vocalist whose credits include A Bronx Tale (role of Crazy Mario), recurring roles on TV's Person of Interest, Boardwalk Empire and a role in the upcoming film Friends and Romans starring Michael Rispoli and Annabella Sciora. Lucy Caracappa is an accomplished vocalist who performs with club date acts such as The Tony T Orchestra and has graced numerous stages including New York's Empire City Casino and Florida's Empire Stage. She is also a comedic actress and improve performer with Murder Mystery Manhattan and has performed in many musical theater productions such as THE KING AND I as Tuptim and in KISMET as Lalume. The L-Train will perform with the live musicians of The Tony T. Orchestra with Tony Traina himself on the drums, a seasoned Broadway musician. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6 contestant BenDeLaCreme makes her New York debut with the premiere of 'Terminally Delightful' at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 ) on Thursday, August 21st through Sunday, August 24th and Thursday & Friday, August 28th & 29th - all shows at 7:00 pm. RuPaul's Drag Race exposed the world to BenDeLaCreme. Now it's time for BenDeLaCreme to expose herself to you! Terminally Delightful is an intimate evening of story, song and BenDeLaCreme's signature high camp hijinks as she peels away the outer layers of artifice to reveal the artifice within. As a performer, emcee, party hostess, and event promoter BenDeLaCreme has appeared in theaters and nightclubs from coast to coast ever since the fateful day in 2002 when s/he realized that normally unsavory behavior could be dressed up in fancy clothes and called "Performance Art." Formerly based in Chicago, but with lucite heels now planted firmly in Seattle, DeLaCreme combines her background in the performing & visual arts with a love of spectacle, glamour, and Saturday morning cartoons to create a thick sludge of sparkly entertainment certain to stick to your ribs! The NYC Cabaret Festival shines a bright spotlight on this most unique craft, & propels it into the future! There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum for each show.

Each week David presents the usual blend of big-band jazz, swing, standards, showtunes, contemporary cabaret and celebrity interviews plus MEGA-MEDLEY MADNESS. Summer Programming began in July and continues through August. This summer's programming will be VERY different than any other summer in their 36 years. Never before has the playlist been so flexible. It will be a completely relaxed Free-Form format, allowing you to enjoy more music.
