FRAMINGHAM, MA: AMAZING THINGS OPEN MIC FEATURING SARA BRODSKY
Every second Wednesday of the month Leslie Holmes hosts an amazing Open Mic night at the AMAZING THINGS ARTS CENTER(160 Hollis Street, Framingham, MA - 508-405-2787), and each show features a special guest. On Wednesday, July 9th the guest host is Barbara Larson and the featured guest will be Sara Brodsky. Pianist for both Sara and the open mic is Tom LaMark. Sara Brodsky Sieman is a vocalist, writer and storyteller. She weaves spoken word and song into Stories in Song, one-woman shows for the stage, and creates musical programs for specific audiences, such as the elderly. The written threads are Sara's original words. The musical threads are spun from jazz, blues, the American Songbook, Broadway, and a bit of pop. Offstage, Sara is a writer of children's stories, essays, poetry and creative nonfiction. The open-mic starts at 7:00 pm (signup at 6:30 pm), and the featured performers go on at 8:10 pm. There is an $10 cover charge ($9 cover for BACA members).

TORONTO: OPEN JAM NIGHT REUNION WITH CAROLYN T
Singer/Bandleader Carolyn T presents "Open Jam Night Reunion" at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Wednesday, July 9th at 8:00 pm. Carolyn began the Jam back in 2009 as a place for musicians/singers to show off their talent and network with fellow artists. The high caliber of musicians that performed at the jam attracted an audience of music lovers who kept coming back for more. When the Jam ended in 2012 many were disappointed. Due to all the overwhelming requests, Carolyn T is bringing it back to Jazz Bistro for one night only - Bigger and better then ever! Featured Guest Singer Gavin Hope of The Nylons. (Musicians bring your instruments!) There is a $15 cover.
