NYC: BROADWAY SINGS AT THE WEST END - THURSDAYS
A New Open mic night has begun hosted by Sarah Rice & Craig Pomranz on the Upper West Side! BROADWAY SINGS AT THE WEST END will be held every Thursday night (it started on May 1st) at THE WEST END (955 West End Avenue, NYC - 212-531-4759) from 9:00 to 11:00 pm (signup after 8:30 pm). Matthew Martin Ward will be at the piano. An open mic with multi-award winning hosts Sarah and Craig bring the ultimate New York experience to the Upper West Side with all kinds of talent singing all genres of music -Broadway, Pop, Jazz, Classical, all are welcomed. There will be a drawing at the end of the evening to get to sing another song and get a free cover for the following week. There will also be a group sing of the Tonight Quintette from West Side Story. There is a $7 cover - no minimum.
NYC: STEVEN ZUMBO AT DON'T TELL MAMA 3 NIGHTS IN JULY
Steven Zumbo returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Wednesday through Friday, July 10th, 11th & 12th at 7:00 pm. As always, he will present an eclectic show of story and song. In a Steven Zumbo show you can expect to hear material from the American song book, pop and theatre songs and novelty numbers along with a mix of story-telling, both touching and hilarious, all perfectly blended into an hour long show. Gerry Dieffenbach is musical director, Helen Baldassare directs. Steven Zumbo has appeared at Don't Tell Mama dozens of times in as many years as well as The Duplex and Eighty Eights.He is alum of the Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Symposium where he studied with Julie Wilson, Tex Arnold, Craig Carnelia and the late Margaret Whiting. Steven Zumbo has also appeared on the Today Show with Katie Couric during her "dream job" segment and has performed with Tony Bennett and Ms. Couric at Caroline's in NYC. "Every Thursday night, as the curtains fall on Broadway, Host Ben Cameron (from Broadway's Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and his crew of amazingly talented folks welcome a new Broadway star to perform at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) at 10:30 pm in this fun and zany musical theater variety show. Get up close and personal with Broadway's brightest as the stars bare their souls, interact with the crowd and celebrate all things BROADWAY. There is a $5 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: A RUCKUS AT THE DUPLEX!
Joey Ruckus celebrates his 25th birthday with a rockin' night of comedy and song at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, July 10th at 9:30 pm. Electro pop tunes and deep dance beats are on the song list and several special guests expected to take part. There is an $8 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: ADULT PUPPET CABARET WITH NICOLA & FRIENDS
Director, actor, playwright and puppeteer Nicola McEldowney (Producer and Puppeteer) will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, July 10th at 7:00 pm. Nicola has been performing puppet plays professionally for children and adults since 2010. She is also the creator of the musical comedy Aisle Six, featured at the New York International Fringe Festival and San Diego Fringe Festival in 2013. She is a graduate of Columbia University and the Universite Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris, France. This show is the first Adult Puppet Cabaret performed at the Metropolitan Room. Also performing are Rachel Gambiza, the lead singer and songwriter for Boston-based rock opera band Gambiza and Ming Aldrich-Gan, the music director and pianist for Theater 2020's production of Candide, currently running in Brooklyn Heights. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: CHARLES BUSCH AT 54 BELOW
The acclaimed actor/Tony-nominated playwright and drag legend Charles Busch returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) with four shows in July - Wednesday & Thursday, July 9th & 10th at 7:00 pm; and Friday & Saturday, July 11th & 12th at 8:00 pm. He returns with a show chock full of outrageous personal stories, original characters and classic songs; all performed with his own unique form of glamour. Charles Busch continues to delight and re-define his craft as a master humorist, entertainer and camp icon. The author of dozens of hit plays (Tale of the Allergists Wife, Die! Mommie! Die!, Psycho Beach Party, The Divine Sister & Vampire Lesbians of Sodom to name but a few), Busch is joined by his longtime Musical Director Tom Judson. Expect laughter, music, tears and sequins. There is a $35-$45 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

54 Below headliner Charles Busch hosts a special screening of the cult favorite movie, Die, Mommie, Die! at54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, July 10th at 9:30 pm. Written by and starring Charles Busch, Die, Mommie, Die! also stars Frances Conroy, Philip Baker Hall, Natasha Lyonne, Jason Priestley, and Stark Sands. The film premiered in Dramatic Competition at 2003 Sundance Film Festival where Charles Busch was awarded a special performance Jury Prize. Created as an ode to the Ross Hunter-style big-screen soaps of the 60s, Die, Mommie, Die! features theater veteran Busch as the fallen pop diva, Angela Arden. When Angela's husband, Sol (Hall), discovers that she's having an affair with tennis pro, gigolo and failed actor Tony Parker (Priestley), Angela calculatedly offs him with a poisoned suppository, or does she? What follows is a hilarious mixture of whodunits and double-crossings involving Bootsie (Conroy), the ill-fated family maid, Edith (Lyonne), Angela and Sol's spoiled, vampy daughter and Lance (Sands), their boy-toy son. There is a $15 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
