NYC: HERE'S TO THE LADIES: AN EXPLORATION OF WOMEN'S NAMES IN SONG

Craig Pomranz brings his newest show to one of NYC's newest clubs,SOPHIE'S NEW YORK (318 West 53rd Street, NYC - 212-757-2323) on Fridays, May 16th & 23rd at 7:00 pm. The show ' Here's To The Ladies' is an exploration of women's names in song. From Mick Jagger's Angie to Mel Torme's Lulu, Craig will take you on an exploration of women in song! Some of the most beloved songs are a tribute to a particular woman and a particular story. From serious to deliriously silly, and from start to finish, this is a party you won't want to miss. This is a show that guarantees both smiles and sighs. Craig has distinguished himself consistently in his live shows by performing music from the Great American Songbook that is not over-recorded, contemporary pop, as well as more unusual songs he has collected from songwriters through the years. NYC: "A ONE, A TWO, A ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR" THE BROADWAY FOUR ENCORE

After selling out earlier this month The Broadway Four will present an Encore Performance at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, May 23rd at 9:30 pm. The Broadway Four is a singing quartet made up of four dynamic men - Thomas Dieter, Tom Guthrie, Johnny Hager and Michael Osso - who each bring a wide range of skills and experiences to their performances. The group showcases a mix of Broadway, pop and contemporary music with innovative, rousing arrangements by James Horan. Produced and directed by veteran actor Skie Ocasio, The Broadway Four is known for its ability to connect with audiences, telling enthralling stories through song. NYC: CHRISTIAN FIGUEROA WITH ROMANCE

Christian Figueroa brings his show "Romance", a collection of soaring ballads, Latin love songs, and Broadway hits, toTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, May 23rd at 7:00 pm. Jason Loffredo will join him on piano. Puerto Rican singer and actor Christian Figueroa is a graduate from Syracuse University and received his Masters in Opera Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. Christian has delighted audiences with his unique combination of vocal and dramatic skills in performances ranging from the stage to the recital hall. Christian recently returned to NYC where he has been recording & performing for Carnegie Hall in LINK UP: THE ORCHESTRA ROCKS concerts. Christian also sang the National Anthem at Fenway Park in Boston representing the Peace Corps for its 50th Anniversary Celebration. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: COME HOME AMERICA TOUR LAUNCHES AT THE CUTTING ROOM

On Friday, May 23rd, of Memorial Day weekend, Marcus Goldhaber will officially launch The Come Home America Tour here in NYC at CUTTING ROOM (44 East 32nd Street, NYC - 212-691-1900). At this concert, Marcus will premier an entire evening of original songs all based on varied experiences of our active duty soldiers, our veterans and their families. He will be backed by a 6-piece rock band as he honors and celebrates our veterans along with the many visiting members of our military during Fleet Week NY. NYC: BENDELACREME: TERMINALLY DELIGHTFUL

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6 contestant BenDeLaCreme makes her New York debut with the premiere of Terminally Delightful at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Tuesday, May 20th at 9:30 pm. Drag Race exposed the world to BenDeLaCreme - now it's time for BenDeLaCreme to expose herself to you! NYC: TWO SINGING DOCTORS WITH A PRESCRIPTION FOR LAUGHTER!

"Damaged Care," The Musical Comedy about Health Care in America, written and performed by The Singing Doctors: Greg LaGana, M.D., and Barry Levy, M.D., returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788), with performances on Saturday & Sunday, May 24th & 25th at 3:00 pm. Musical direction and original music is by Brad Ross, and the show is directed by Michael Schiralli. Greg and Barry were medical school classmates at Cornell Medical College in New York in the late 1960'. Greg is an internist at Merck and Schering-Plough pharmaceutical companies in New Jersey, and Barry is a specialist in occupational and environmental medicine and an Adjunct Professor at Tufts Medical School. Damaged Care highlights issues of great concern to health professionals and the general public, including managed care, reduced insurance coverage, the dehumanization of health care, hospital mergers, the inadequate emphasis on prevention, "cost containment," medical errors, and the threat of "superbugs" and Obamacare. "Damaged Care" has been performed 130 times in 28 states and Canada since 1996. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND

After sold out runs in 2009 & 2010, Thank You For Being A Friend returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) for its third limited-run engagement. Performances are Fridays, May 9th & 23rd at 10:00 pm and May 16th & & 30th at 7:00 pm. This unauthorized musical parody inspired by the beloved TV sitcom "The Golden Girls," features book by Nick Brennan, music by Jeff Thomson, and lyrics by Luke Jones and Cisco Cardenas. In the show four women over 60 (Blanchette, the varicose-veined vixen; Dorthea, the brainy ball-buster; Roz, the lovable airhead; and Sophie, the wisecracking spitfire) are spending their golden years together in a wicker-filled bungalow in Miami. But when gay pop superstar Ricky Martin moves next door, his loud outdoor sex parties keep the quartet of cheesecake-loving retirees awake. The solution pits the gays against the girls at the annual Shady Oaks Retirement Home Talent Show: if the women win, then no more sex parties; if the gays garner top prize, the sassy seniors must serve as the party's clean-up crew. NYC: PREGNANCY PACT THE MUSICAL IN CONCERT

Julia Meinwald and Gordon Leary's Pregnancy Pact returns to New York for one night at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday, May 23rd at 8:30 pm. Inspired by the infamous (if apocryphal) pact forged by high school girls in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Pregnancy Pact received its world-premiere production at the Weston Playhouse after being seen at Ars Nova, the Yale Institute for Music Theatre, and the 2011 NAMT Festival of New Works. Members of the Weston cast, some special guests, and a six-piece band will come together to sing (read as: belt) about making friends, making love, making a family, and making a sex tape. NYC: THE SKIVVIES RETURN TO 54 BELOW

The undie-rock, comedy-pop duo The Skivvies return to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday & Saturday, May 23rd & 24th at 11:00 pm. The Skivvies don't just strip down their musical arrangements, they literally strip down to their underwear to perform their distinctive mashups and eccentric originals for cello and ukulele, with touches of glockenspiel, melodica, and a surprising array of under-used instruments. Award-winning singer-actors Lauren Molina (Marry Me a Little, Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages) and Nick Cearley (All Shook Up) became YouTube sensations as The Skivvies, with living room videos that displayed their powerful harmonies as well as their powerful abs. They also have a single and music video directed by Augusten Burroughs, bestselling author of Running With Scissors. NYC: SIMON GREEN: SO, THIS THEN IS LIFE

59E59 Theaters presents the US premiere of SIMON GREEN: SO, THIS THEN IS LIFE, created by Simon Green and David Shrubsole, performed by Mr. Green, with musical arrangement and accompaniment by Mr. Shrubsole. The show explores paths un-trod, mistakes repeated, and ridiculous responses to an ever-changing world. Simon Green and David Shrubsole cast their gaze over life's rude awakenings. Reteaming after their Drama Desk-nominated Traveling Light, Green and Shrubsole concoct a theatrical marriage of words and music that transports audiences to a former, more innocent incarnation of themselves. Simon Green: So, This Then Is Life begins performances at 59E59 THEATERS (59 East 59th Street, NYC - 212-279-4200) on Tuesday, May 20th for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 1st. Simon's cabarets, with musical director and arranger, David Shrubsole, are familiar in London's major cabaret venues and have played New York at Feinstein's, The Metropolitan Room, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall and the 59E59 TheatersPress opening is Thursday, May 22 at 7:15 pm. NYC: HAL LINDEN AT THE CARLYLE

Hal Linden, 83, brings his one-man show, "Hal Linden Live in Concert," to THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, May 20th through 24th with performances at 8:45 pm. Best known as Barney Miller, the eponymous star of the 1970s sitcom in which he played the down-to-earth captain of a police precinct in Greenwich Village, Linden has appeared in 20 Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. In addition to playing "Sing, Sing, Sing" (made famous by Benny Goodman and Gene Krupa) and other songs on the clarinet, he will croon Broadway hits, including "In My Own Lifetime" from "The Rothschilds," backed by a seven-piece band. There is a $70-$130 cover ($50-$60 at bar) cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
