There are so many wonderful songs in Nat Cole's repertoire and Gary will be including favourites like Let There Be Love, Stay As Sweet As You Are, Route 66, When I Fall In Love, Orange Coloured Sky and Straighten Up And Fly Right. Williams has previously paid tribute to Nat Cole in Tokyo and Australia as well as with some of the UK's great orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the CBSO and the Northern Sinfonia. Gary will be accompanied by his Musical Director Matt Regan (BBC Big Band, John Wilson Orchestra, BBC Radio 3).
This show is presented as part of THE LONDON FESTIVAL OF CABARET.
LONDON: OPEN MIC NIGHT RETURNS IN LONDON WITH HAROLD SANDITEN
Open Mic with host Harold Sanditen returns on Thursday, September 12th and every Thursday thereafter at London's THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888). This is a unique open mic in the West End, having an acoustic baby grand piano and a bass player. Michael Roulston and Jonty Fisher will be regular musicians - and both are versed at both jazz and more theatrical songs. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.
