TORONTO: SUNDAY BRUNCH WITH B2 AT THE JAZZ BISTRO

B2, a unique piano/vocal duo offering fresh and interesting takes on classic repertoire from the Great American Songbook will perform at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299 - ) on Sunday, May 18th at 12:30 pm as part of the clubs Sunday Brunch series. Comprised of vocalist Bill MacLean, and pianist Brian Stevens, B2 has performed at jazz clubs, concerts, private parties and fundraisers. Their CD, B2 "Live" showcases their distinctive approach to timeless classics such as When You Wish Upon a Star, and That's Life. Bill MacLean has been a part of Toronto's folk/ acoustic music scene for many years, as a singer/ songwriter, guitarist, and bassist. His solo career saw the release of A Frame of Time, which features the self-penned song, Lay Me Down Easy, now part of the B2 repertoire. MacLean is also the bassist for the Ian White Band (Wonder Grows). The inheritance of his mother's collection of Frank Sinatra recordings opened his musical eyes and ears to an entirely new direction of vocal performance. An appearance with the Mississauga Swing Band at an open mic concert demonstrated that Bill is as comfortable fronting a swing band, as performing solo with his guitar. Performing with Brian Stevens has allowed MacLean to explore this vast American Songbook collection with a new perspective. Together they have created a polished and consistently elegant sound that has charmed audiences wherever they have performed. There is a $10 cover.
