ST. LOUIS: KATIE McGRATH AND LOVE IN THE DESERT
Katie McGrath will present her show Love in the Desert as part of theGASLIGHT CABARET FESTIVAL(358 North Boyle Street, Louis MO - 314-725-4200 EXT 10 - ) on Friday, April 4th at 8:00 pm. The show is sub-titled 'Romance in an Age of Scarcity'. Nobody's better at love gone bad than Katie, who asks, "In our world economy, scarcity is the problem of having seemingly unlimited human wants and needs in a world of limited resources. But this issue is also alive and well in matters of love. Why is it then, as we age and the prospective romance population shrinks, we become needier yet more demanding than ever?" PALM SPRINGS: JUDY GOLD PLAYS THE COPA
Emmy Award winning actress and comedian, Judy Gold will perform atTHE COPA (244 East Amado Road, Palm Springs CA - 760-866-0021) on Friday, April 4th at 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 5th at 7:30 pm. Gold is best known as the star of her two critically acclaimed long-running Off Broadway hit shows. Judy's most recent show, The Judy Show - My Life As A Sitcom ran from June 2011 - January 2012 at The D-R-2 theater in New York and as part of 2013 season at The Geffen Theatre in L.A. LOS ANGELES: DENISE MORGAN AT THE GARDENIA
Denise Morgan will perform at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday & Saturday, April 4th & 5th at 9:00 pm. Denise studied performing arts, classical vocals, and acting at LACC, USC, and the Inner City Cultural Center in Los Angeles, and has performed with many gospel choirs and groups, then made her solo jazz debut in 2010. She continues to study voice with Howlett Smith, and is a member of his World Stage Jazz Workshop in Leimert Park. She has sung with the Angel City Chorale and in Gustav Mahler's Symphony #8 with the LA Philharmonic under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel. Call for cover/minimum information.
