CABARET TONIGHT IN SAN FRANCISCO: TAYLOR DAVIS AT YOSHI'S

CABARET TONIGHT IN SAN FRANCISCO: TAYLOR DAVIS AT YOSHI'S

Classically trained American violinist, arranger and composer Taylor Davis will appear at YOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Wednesday, April 2nd at 8:00 pm. Taylor's passion for video game and film music led her to launch her widely popular YouTube channel "ViolinTay" in 2011. As of December 2013, Davis' channel has attracted over 290,000 subscribers and 36 million video views. The majority of her cover videos feature a wide variety of video game, film and anime themes. Davis has recently begun releasing her own original music starting with her first single "Nebulous" in July 2013, and plans to release a full album of original music in 2014. Davis has released 4 full length video game and film cover albums, a full length Christmas album and 15 singles. Davis arranged and produced all of the fully orchestrated backtracks that accompanied her violin solos for her first 3 albums. For her fourth and fifth albums, she collaborated with esteemed arranger and producer Adam Gubman to arrange and produce her orchestrations. Besides posting regularly on her YouTube channel, Davis has also been hired to perform violin solos on soundtracks in the video game industry and can be heard most recently as the violin soloist for "The Banner Saga" composed by Grammy-Nominated Composer Austin Wintory. In late 2013 she joined the newly formed video game rock band "Critical Hit" led by Blizzard Entertainment games composer Jason Hayes. Critical Hit will provide another outlet for Davis' passion for video games and their music. She began studying the violin at age 8 and continued her classical training through college where she graduated magna cum laude in 2009 from Gonzaga University with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Violin Performance. Dinner/Show: $53 Show only: $18.
