CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: NANCY STEARNS: "SING ME A SONG WITH SOCIAL SIGNIFICANCE ... OR NOT" (revisited)

Nancy Stearns revisits - with humor, personal commitment and some amazing material - the state of the Union in her show "SING ME A SONG WITH SOCIAL SIGNIFICANCE ... OR NOT" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, March 30th at 7:00 pm. Building on her popular 2006 cabaret show, Nancy comments on recent American social history with songs from the Great American Songbook, American musical theatre, jazz and folk traditions and specialty material from the Great NYC Cabaret Songbook. Nancy will appear with her music director, Gregory Toroian, on piano and David Finck, on bass. The show is directed by Helen Baldassare. Nancy Stearns: Nancy Stearns has been performing annually in New York City cabaret rooms with her music director, Gregory Toroian, since 2001. A lawyer by day, Nancy first "found" cabaret as a student at Helen Baldassare's Cabaret Performance Workshop, for which Nancy now serves as Administrator. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
