Ovation Award-nominated actor/ composer, and star of the off-Broadway hit musical Murder for Two, Brett Ryback comes to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, April 19th at 11:00 pm with 'Songs I Wrote', a night featuring his work as a composer/lyricist. He teams up with an incredible cast of Broadway talent to present highlights from his eclectic songbook, including the premiere performances of songs from his latest musical Joe Schmoe Saves the World. Performers are set to include Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Zorro), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Alex Brightman (Big Fish, Wicked), Janet Krupin (If/Then, Bring It On), George Salazar (Here Lies Love, Godspell), Justin Matthew Sargent (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Rock of Ages), Melissa van der Schyff (Bonnie and Clyde), and more. Brett wrote the book for the musical Darling, which recently won the Weston Playhouse's New Musical Award and was featured on NBC's "The Apprentice." He contributed work to the webseries "The Battery's Down," and his songs were featured in William Finn's "Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists..." concerts at Barrington Stage and 54 Below. He won the Tennessee Williams One-Act Competition and was a finalist for the Richard Rodgers Award. NYC: JUDY AND LIZA TOGETHER AGAIN AT MAMA' S
Cabaret favorites Tommy Femia and Rick Skye have teamed up for another evening of "Judy and Liza Together Again" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturdays, April 19th & 26th at 8:00 pm. They are joined by Ricky Ritzel (as Mort) at the piano. These MAC Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) will pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is best known for writing a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka", "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" for which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance".
