NYC: JILLIAN LAURAIN: MY HOLLYWOOD" - 100 YEARS OF THE RED CARPET

Jillian Laurain brings her show My Hollywood" - 100 Years Of The Red Carpet to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, March 29th at 7:00 pm. Her show will feature Broadway show stopping songs by the greatest composers and lyricists. She will over 100 years of loved music. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: SAMANTHA CARLSON RETURNS TO THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Samantha Carlson makes her return to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, March 29th at 9:30 pm after a successful debut in October of 2013. Originally from Mineola, New York, has been singing since age 2. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University in May of 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance. Music is her passion and her life. She sings the classic standards from the 1920s through today, as well as jazz, big band, show-tunes, country, oldies, classical, opera, and pop but she identifies herself mainly as a jazz/standards singer. Raised in a musical family, both parents are vocalists and instrumentalists. Their influence was very strong. They always encouraged her passion for music, and to follow her dreams. Her other influences include Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Nat King Cole, Josh Groban, and Andrea Bocelli. Samantha currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, performs with her jazz combo, and with several big bands, locally, and nationally. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Comedian Elayne Boosler, always at the forefront of standup comedy, is simply at the top of her game in her fortieth year of performing. Coming back to New York, where it all started for her and her incredible group of peers in the early '70s, she is the one true keeper of the hilarious stories of those days. All featured in her upcoming book, "Big Fun", they are the funniest of adventures, featuring Andy Kaufman, Richard Belzer, Freddie Prinze, Jay Leno, Richard Lewis, Larry David, Richard Pryor, Lily Tomlin, Rodney Dangerfield, and so many more. NYC: JUDY KAYE MAKES 54 BELOW DEBUT

Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner Judy Kaye (The Phantom of the Opera, Nice Work If You Can Get It) will perform at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday & Saturday, March 28th & 29th at 8:00 pm. This will be her 54 Below debut. Her new show celebrates the work of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim. Having worked with both, she'll share humorous anecdotes and personal reminiscences, along with her own unique take on some of her favorites from these two giants of the American Musical Theatre. Song and dance man Evan Ruggiero presents an evening of music at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, March 29th at 11:00 pm as part of the clubs Late Night series. Evan tells his inspirational story set to Broadway's favorite songs. Evan is no stranger to 54 Below as he has previously performed with the phenomenal cast of Don't Quit Your Night Job and Panic! In Concert. He is well known for his TV appearances on "American Idol," "Un Nuevo Dia" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." NYC: CHEYENNE JACKSON WITH SPECIAL GUEST ORFEH

Cheyenne Jackson returns toBIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Thursday, March 27th and Saturday, March 29th at 6:15 pm.with long-time musical director Ben Toth. His show will include original songs from his new album, "I'm Blue, Skies," as well as classics from his acclaimed one-man show "Music of the Mad Men Era," which sold out Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center. Cheyenne Jackson is a multi-talented actor, singer and songwriter, and has just released an album of original music called "I'm Blue, Skies." In 2012 he released his first three singles "Drive," the Top 40 hit "Before You," and "Don't Wanna Know," all produced by Thomas "Tawgs" Salter. Combining stage, film, television, and concerts, Cheyenne continues to have one of the most diverse careers in entertainment. NYC: BILL CHARLAP TRIO AT BIRDLAND

One of the world's premier jazz pianists, Bill Charlap, returns to BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Tuesday through Saturday, March 25th through 29th with shows at 8:30 & 11:00 pm. Charlap has performed and recorded with many leading artists of our time, ranging from jazz masters Phil Woods and Wynton Marsalis to singers Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand. Since 1997, he has led the Bill Charlap Trio with bassist Peter Washington and drummer Kenny Washington, now recognized as one of the leading groups in jazz. Charlap is the artistic director of New York City's Jazz in July Festival at the 92nd Street Y, and he has produced concerts for Jazz at Lincoln Center, the JVC Jazz Festival and the Hollywood Bowl. A two-time Grammy nominee, Charlap is married to renowned jazz pianist Renee Rosnes, and the two often collaborate in a duo piano setting. In the spring of 2010, Charlap and Rosnes released "Double Portrait", their acclaimed duo piano recording on the Blue Note label. There is a $40 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DOUBLE FEATURE: LARRY CARLTON GROUP & KYLE EASTWOOD GROUP

Both the Larry Carlton Group and the Kyle Eastwood Group will appear in a "Double Feature" presentation at THE BLUE NOTE(131 West 3rd Street, NYC - 212-475-8592) on Tuesday through Sunday, March 26th through 30th with shows at 8:00 & 10:30 pm. Nineteen-time Grammy nominee, four-time Grammy winner and all-time guitar great, Larry Carlton established himself from his first recording, A Little Help From My Friends. His studio credits include musicians and groups like Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Herb Alpert, Quincy Jones, Bobby Bland, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and literally dozens of others. He went on to perform with the Crusaders and then with the multi platinum jazz super group Fourplay. With 30 albums to his credit and having performed on over 100 albums that have gone Gold or Platinum, Larry Carlton has set a standard for artistry that spans three decades. As someone who has had a myriad of opportunities to shine, Kyle Eastwood has truly carved his own path as a musician and his bass playing and composing talents reflect the richness and diversity of his experience. No stranger to jazz music, at a young age his father, film actor/director Clint Eastwood introduced him to jazz stars such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dave Brubeck, Thelonious Monk, and Miles Davis. Kyle began playing electric bass in high school, learning R&B, Motown, and reggae tunes by ear. After studying with French bassist Bunny Brunel, he engrossed himself in the New York and Los Angeles area jazz scene, and signed with Sony in 1998 where he released his debut recording From Here to There. Kyle has composed or arranged seven of Clint Eastwood's latest films including Mystic River. Million Dollar Baby, Flags Of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Gran Torino, and Invictus. There is a $20-$35 cover.

NYC: FREDDY COLE QUINTET AT DIZZY'S

Jazz pianist and singer Freddy Cole will perform with the Freddy Cole Quintet featuring Harry Allen at DIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Thursday through Sunday, March 27th through 30th with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Cole is a prolific artist of undisputed pedigree. Building his career at the same time as his brother, the iconic Nat King Cole, it was never going to be easy for Cole to establish his own musical identity. However, with 20 albums released in just the last two decades, including the GRAMMY Award-nominated 2010 album, Freddy Cole Sings Mr. B, Cole has carved out a reputation as an individual and prolific force in the jazz world.
