Andrew Craig Productions presents Soul Nannies at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Wednesdays, with sets from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. A brand-new 9 piece band, presenting you the very best in 1960•s and '70•s, R&B, Funk and Soul featuring performers: Andrew Craig, Gavin Hope, Krystle Blue, Anthony Brancati, Bryan Humphreys, Rich Grossman, Brooksey Brooks, Andrew Stewart, and Mackie Langford. There is a $15 cover.
D.C.: THE CHRISTOPHER LINMAN ENSEMBLE AT BLUES ALLEY
THE Christopher Linman Ensemble will perform at BLUES ALLEY(1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Wednesday, March 26th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Christopher Linman has been making a name for himself for the past decade around the Washington DC area. He currently is The Music Director for The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Tyson's Corner, Va. He was first appointed this title in 2004 at the Washington D.C. Ritz. Christopher has been performing as a pianist and singer for over a decade with his Quartet around the area to great success. He currently has his new CD released "O' Heaven" out and available at most retail outlets and ITunes. Christopher performs Jazz Standards from 'The American Songbook' with his own unique style. He has also written many original songs which are also a great passion to him. Come on out to witness a high energy and exciting evening of great music! Call for cover/minimum information.
MARYLAND: LINDA OH'S "INITIAL HERE" QUARTET
Linda Oh's "Initial Here" Quartet will perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB(7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Wednesday, March 26th at 7:30 pm. Aside from being a busy side-person with musicians such as Dave Douglas, Joe Lovano and Kenny Barron, bassist and composer Linda Oh has been establishing her own music and bands releasing three albums as a leader. This stellar group will play the music of her second CD release as a leader "Initial Here" and will feature Dayna Stephens (Gretchen Parlato, Kenny Barron), pianist Fabian Almazan (Terence Blanchard) and Rudy Royston on drums (Bill Frisell, Dave Douglas, JD Allen).
