MATINEE CABARET: NYC: MIDTOWN JAZZ AT MIDDAY: CHARLES COCHRAN
MIDTOWN JAZZ AT MIDDAY continues at ST. PETER'S CHURCH - SANCTUARY (619 Lexington Avenue, NYC - 212-935-2200) every Wednesday. This long-running series was created by Edmund Anderson and is now produced by Ronny Whyte. The show on Wednesday, October 2nd features singer/pianist Charles Cochran. He is joined by Saadi Zain on bass. Cochran grew up in New York, working with and knowing singers such as Anita O'Day, Judy Garland and Nina Simone. He also livd in Hollywood for many years, and experienced the ups and downs of life and performing as a nightclub and recording artist for fifty years. He has lived in West Palm Beach for the last 25 years. Performances are at 1:00 pm, $10 donation.
