CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: AMANDA GREEN AT BIRDLAND
The Broadway at Birdland concert series presents the return of Amanda Green to the stage at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080)for a one-night-only special event on Sunday, September 29th at 6:00 pm. This award winning performer and Tony-nominated Broadway composer-lyricist will be joined by members of the Broadway cast of Hands On A Hardbody, as they sing an evening of her hilarious and moving songs, and celebrate the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording. The singers will be backed by members of the original Broadway "Pit Crew" for Hardbody, including Musical Director Matt Gallagher on piano, Skip Krevens on Pedal Steel, Shannon Ford on drums and Skip Ward on bass. As a performer Amanda has won two MAC Awards and a Bistro Award, and performs her songs everywhere from Birdland to Carnegie Hall to the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. She is the winner of The Jonathan Larson Award for Excellence in Songwriting, and Songwriter's Hall Of Fame Scholarship Award. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
