CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: JIM CARUSO & BILLY STRITCH RETURN TO BEMELMANS BAR
Performers Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to their regular spot atBEMELMAN'S BAR at the CARLYLE(35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-570-7189) with their evening of swinging standards on Sunday, September 1st then running every Sunday in September, from 9:00 pm to midnight. The duo, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. During a recent run at Bemelmans, the duo received critical acclaim, and made news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. In their upcoming Carlyle run, Caruso and Stritch will be joined by bassist Steve Doyle. RESERVATIONS NOT ACCEPTED - $15 per person at bar; $25 per person at table.
