NYC: STEVE KAZEE MAKES 54 BELOW DEBUT - PERFORMANCES THROUGH SATURDAY
The 2012 Tony Award winner Steve Kazee for his performance as Guy in Once makes his 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) debut with this, his very first chance to share his original songs with New York audiences! Performances are Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, July 8th, 10th & 11th at 7:00 pm; and Friday, July 12th at 8:00 & 11:00 pm; and Saturday, July 13th at 8:00 pm. Joined by his band, The Shiny Liars, this alt-country evening reflects Steve's southern upbringing. Inspired by artists such as Damien Jurado, Night Beds, Wilco, and others, a few of which Kazee will cover in the show, these special evenings showcase the tunes planned for his debut album, which he'll be recording this summer! In addition to winning the 2013 Grammy for Musical Theater Album for Once, Broadway has embraced Steve in roles including Sir Lancelot in Monty Python's Spamalot, Starbuck, opposite Audra McDonald, in Roundabout's 110 in the Shade, To Be or Not to Be at MTC, and Edward Albee's Seascape. There is a $45-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
