NY STATE CABARET: WNYT ANCHORS STAR IN 'NO BOUNDARIES' A NEW MUSICAL JOURNEY AT 2:00 & 8:00 PM TODAY

NY STATE CABARET: WNYT ANCHORS STAR IN 'NO BOUNDARIES' A NEW MUSICAL JOURNEY AT 2:00 & 8:00 PM TODAY

In the tradition of their successful summer Singing Anchors Mainstage shows, NewChannel 13 anchors Jessica Layton and Benita Zahn return to TheMAINSTAGE AT FORT SALEM THEATER (11 East Broadway, Salem, NY - 518-854-9200) on Saturday, July 20th at 2:00 & 8:00 pm & Sunday, July 21st at 2:00 pm. Their show, No Boundaries, is a new revue celebrating great sixties and seventies melodies. While fellow anchor Jerry Gretzinger is spreading his theatrical wings in a community theater production of The Music Man, the WNYT newswomen realize their performance fantasy to be part of a Girl Group, in the tradition of the Shirelles and the Supremes. Two of FORT SALEM THEATER's favorite personalities, Sue Caputo and Lynne Kerr, have been added to form a group with Benita and Jess. Susan Cicarelli Caputo has worked professionally since her first postgraduate job singing and dancing at Hershey Park. She was featured in several NYSTI shows, and often choreographs for Cap Rep in Albany. Lynne Kerr appeared as a teen on the Uncle Floyd television show and later in several Manhattan cabarets. Also appearing in No Boundaries is the Capital Region-based female barbershop quartet, Impromptu, four gals in their seventies who instruct the anchors what seventies music really is. On the opposite end of the age spectrum, teenagers Brendan Dailey, Emma Ibbottson and Carolyn Shields portray alter egos of the Singing Anchors, with Dailey's Gretzinger character poking good-natured fun at the absent male anchor. Call for cover/minimum information.
