LONDON TONIGHT: KATE DIMBLEBY AT CRAZY COQS WITH POETS & PINA COLADAS
Selling out the Festival Hall, a national radio regular and with several albums to her credit, including this year's hit Songs of Dory Previn, Kate Dimbleby makes her debut at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888 - ) with POETS & PINA COLADAS, an evening which weaves her shimmering jazz vocals around some dangerously irresistible songs by Dory Previn, Sophie Tucker, Bessie Smith, Kirsty MacColl & the Rolling Stones, amongst others. Her father is the broadcaster David Dimbleby and her mother was a trained classical singer. Her uncle on her mother's side played jazz piano, trumpet and blues harp, and inspired her with his collection of gramophone records. With Naadia Sheriff (piano/vocals) & Jonty Fisher (bass/ukulele).
