Vickie Phillips brings her show "Songs for Summer Nights" to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturday, June 22nd, Saturday, July 6th and Tuesday, July 9th, all shows at 7:15 pm. The show is directed by Bob Ost with musical direction by Tracy Stark. "Songs for Summer Nights" will feature musical selections from composers including Sheldon Harnick, Maltby & Shire, Craig Carnelia, and Bob Ost. Vickie Phillips is a familiar face on the Manhattan cabaret scene, as an award-winning singer and actress. Her off-Broadway credits include leading roles in Merry-Go-Round, A Safe Light, Far Side of the Moon, Musically Speaking, and Together with Music. She performed to standing-room-only audiences in concerts at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Her very first cabaret show received the Back Stage Bistro Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Cabaret." Ms. Phillips went on to be nominated for a MAC Award for her concept and performance in the musical revue American Cabaret: European Roots. Bob Ost, director, has been nominated for MAC Awards for "Best Special Material" for "A Quiet Little Christmas," "Best Revue" for "Not Quite What You Expected," and "Best CD" for "Everybody's Gettin' into the Act." He and Vickie won an OOBR Award for "Songs Are Like Friends." Bob also won two national competitions for his musical "Finale!" Pianist/Arranger/Conductor/SingerSongwriter Tracy Stark is a 6-time MAC Award winner in the categories of Piano Bar Entertainer (2008. 2009), Music Director (2009, 2010, 2012), and Song of the Year (2011).
