FRIDAY PICK CHICAGO: JUDY GARLAND DUETS WITH LAURA FREEMAN & ROB DORN
Forty years ago, the world lost one of its greatest entertainers, Judy Garland. To commemorate her musical legacy, Rob Dorn and Laura Freeman present The Judy Garland Duets on Friday, June 21st at 7:30 pm at the BERGER PARK CULTURAL CENTER (6205 North Sheridan, Chicago IL - 773-761-0376). A loving tribute to Judy Garland and the musical men in her life, Rob and Laura explore why and how she has touched so many of our lives. The pair will salute the duets of Judy and Gene, Fred, Mickey and others. Re-visit some of Judy's beloved films at MGM, as they both recreate and reinvent classic arrangements of For Me and My Gal, The Trolley Song, The Man Who Got Away and many more. The Judy Garland Duets promises to be informative, funny and full of heart. There is a $10 fee.
