S.F.: "CHANSON: AMANDA MCBROOM SINGS JACQUES BREL"
Critically-acclaimed national Cabaret star and composer Amanda McBroom ("The Rose") will be appearing on Friday, April 16th at 8:00 pm at the COMMANDANTS ROOM OF THE MARINES MEMORIAL CLUB (609 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-673-6672). The show is part of the Bay Area Cabaret series. Amanda will present "Chanson: Amanda McBroom Sings Jacques Brel", her passionate and powerful tribute to Jacques Brel, a man deemed the most important singer-songwriter in France during the sixties' golden age of popular song. She will perform "Chanson des Vieux Amis", "Marieke", "Carousel" and a few rare gems with piano and guitar accompaniment.
