NYC: SCOTT ALAN & FRIENDS AT BIRDLAND
Theatrical composer and lyricist Scott Alan returns to BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, April 12th at 7:00 pm. Alan be joined by some of today's brightest men on the New York theatre scene, including Darius de Haas (Rent), Bobby Steggert (Ragtime, Yank!), Nicholas Rodriguez ("One Life To Live"), Josh Lamon (Hair), Michael Kadin Craig (Altar Boyz), Michael Seelbach (Wicked), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music), Matt Doyle (Bye Bye Birdie), The Broadway Boys, and more to be announced. Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour in Los Angeles. Since returning to New York City seven years ago, many of Broadway's elite have sung his music, including Liz Callaway, Shoshana Bean, Adriane Lenox, Sutton Foster, Stephanie J. Block, Julia Murney, Cheyenne Jackson, Megan Hilty, Norm Lewis, Eden Espinosa and more, all of which can be found on his debut CD, "Dreaming Wide Awake," and his follow up CD, "Keys," which are both available on his website and iTunes. Cover charge is $30-$40 with a $10 food/drink minimum.
