L.A.: MARLENE VERPLANCK IN RARE WEST COAST APPEARANCE
Jazz vocalist Marlene VerPlanck makes one of her rare Southern California appearances at THE CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL (5985 Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA - 310-642-7500) on Thursday, April 15th. Marlene will be featuring songs from her latest and 20th CD "Once There Was A Moon", which has received over a dozen rave reviews. Marlene spent many years as a first call 'back up' singer to everyone from Sinatra to Kiss, and the voice of hundreds of national commercials, including, MMM Good, (Campbell's Soup) Weekends Were Made for Michelob, Salem Cigarettes, Winston Cigarettes and many, many others. Coming up in March is a one month tour of Holland and England, April in California and back to NY in May. She was also selected to headline The Johnny Mercer Centennial, in November at the Johnny Mercer Auditorium, in Savannah, GA. Call for cover/minimum information.
