N.Y.STATE: FT. SALEM THEATER WITH LOCAL ORIGINAL SONGS

The CABARET AT FORT SALEM THEATER (11 East Broadway, Salem, NY - 518-854-9200 ) continues its 2010 season on Saturday, April 17th at 8:00 pm with "Songs from the Fort", the original music that received its world premiere at Fort Salem since the grand re-opening of the theater in 2007. Featuring Susan Cicarrelli Caputo, Jay and Lynne Kerr, and several surprise guest stars, the show revisits the old man along the road in Vietnam from Songs of War and Peace; the waitress in love with the detective in Breakfast Epiphanies; the teenage girl in love with Robert Lewis Stevenson at the Trudeau sanatorium in Adirondack Awakening; the widow mourning the recent death of her farmer husband from Corn! The Musical; the wife mourning the fact that all she's allowed to sing are Songs My Husband Wrote. Moments that touch and amuse, from shows that have started at Fort Salem. Tickets are $20 (includes $5 credit for dessert and coffee)
