Vocalist Phil Kassel will perform at NICKS BAR AND RESTAURANT (124 Millbury Street, Worcester, MA - 508-753-4030 - ) on Wednesday, November 19th at 9:00 pm. He will be accompanied by Tom LaMark on piano. Phil is a career public interest lawyer who sings songs from most every genre at local venues and open mics. The author of numerous previous shows, he's appeared at such venues as Jimmy Tingle's, Ryle's, as well as the Amazing Things and Cambridge Multi-Cultural Arts Centers. BOSTON: MAGOS HERRERA & JAVIER LIMON: DAWN

Magos Herrera & Javier Limon present their show 'Dawn' at THE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757 - ) on Wednesday, November 19th at 8:00 pm. Magos Herrera, renown Mexican-born jazz singer and resident of New York City, has worked with the best jazz musicians from around the world for many years, combining her Latin roots with the sound of contemporary American jazz, thus, positioning herself among a musical elite. Javier Limon, is a laureate composer, guitarist and internationally recognized producer, known for his collaboration with Paco de Lucia, Bebo and Chucho Valdes, Avishai Cohen and Wynton Marsalis, among others. He has become an indispensable reference in the genre of Flamenco and future international music. 'Dawn' represents an encounter between the profound, sophisticated voice of Magos Herrera and the intricate Flamenco guitar of Javier Limon, the convergence of vanguard jazz and minimalist Flamenco, a summit of sound for the 21st century. There is a $25 cover. 

BOSTON: RENE MARIE: "I WANNA BE EVIL - WITH LOVE TO EARTHA KITT"

Singer, actress, writer Rene Marie will celebrate the release of her CD "I Wanna Be Evil - With Love To Eartha Kitt" at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111 - ) on Wednesday, November 19th at 8:00 pm. Never before has there been a vocal recording tipping the hat to the divine Ms. Kitt and her fiery, sensual and clever interpretations of songs. With her incredible range of vocal ability, her powerful emotional resonance and strong independent streak, Rene is the right artist to conceive of this historic project. Many Scullers partrons remember when Eartha Kitt performed at Scullers Jazz Club in March of 1997. Call for cover/minimum information.

TORONTO: COLIN HUNTER CROONS AT THE JAZZ BISTRO

Colin Hunter croons the music of Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Wednesday, November 20 th at 8:00 pm. Colin has been showcased on the Canadian and world stage several times, and is a favorite on Coleur de Jazz 91.1, and JazzFM in Toronto. His amazing voice can be also be heard while flying on Sunwing Airlines, on channel 10. His love of music lead him to opening a Toronto Jazz Club: The JAZZ BISTRO. Colin and his wife Joan wanted to offer the public a comfortable up-scale jazz club, featuring top names from Toronto and international fame, while enjoying delicious food. Colin can often be found on his stage filling the Club with his laid back crooner classics. He is joined Anthony Terpstra's Seventet, a unique ensemble put together, not to replace the big band, but as an added feature. Influenced by the small band writing of Marty Paich and Gerry Mulligan, the Seventet has a rich sound with clean lines, contrapuntal writing and soloing in and out of ensemble.). There is no cover - just a $25 food/drink minimum.
