NYC: BABY JANE DEXTER RETURNS WITH 'RULES OF THE ROAD (PART 3)

Baby Jane Dexter's new show, Rules of the Road,(Part 3) debuts at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for seven performances only beginning Friday, November 21st and running on Fridays, and Saturdays through December 27th. All shows at 7:00 pm. Sharing the stage will be her longtime Musical Director Ross Patterson. Rules of the Road (Part 3) is the latest emotionally empowering and highly-charged show from this influential and beloved cabaret artist who never disappoints. Her shows are filled with memorable anecdotes, through song, from life and a brilliant performing career. Her totally unforgettable song choices have helped make her the local legend she remains today. This new 2014 show will include compelling songs by Rogers & Hammerstein, Cy Coleman & Peggy Lee and Peter Allen & Carol Bayer Sager, as well as songs by Leslie Bricusse, Billy Roy, Leiber & Stoller, Mike Scott, Randy Newman and John Bucchino. As always in her shows, there will be her trademark unexpected twists and turns that laugh at life as well as leaving her audiences emotionally moved. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CAROLYN MONTGOMERY-FORANT: VISIBLE PHOENIX

MAC, Back Stage Bistro and Nightlife Award winning singer, songwriter and recording artist Carolyn Montgomery-Forant, returns to the New York City stage in her first solo show in eight years! Her show 'Visible Phoenix' will be presented at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Friday, November 21st, & Monday, December 22nd*, 2014 and again on Fridays, March 8th, April 10th and May 8th, 2015 - all shows at 7:00 pm. *The December 22, 2014 at 7:00 is a special holiday performance, with guests. Musical direction is by Donald Rebic (Leslie Uggams, Karen Akers), and the show features a five-piece band and Carolyn's trio of back-up singers, The Fine Whine. Directed by Eric Michael Gillett, this comeback tour de force incorporates music from a wide range of genres and eras, original comedy, and a few songs with music and lyrics by Montgomery-Forant herself. Sacred Stages LLC presents Sandra Bargman in 'The Edge of Everyday' at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Friday, November 21st at 7:00 pm. The show explores our fear of change and ultimately, our acceptance of the dichotomies of Life. "The Edge" is where our resistance, our reluctance to embrace the diversity of life, meets with the inevitability of change in all the corners of our lives. Sandra considers the tension between these seeming paradoxes with poignancy and comedy, and with music ranging from Bowie and Clapton to Georgia Stitt and David Cantor, the show is a ritual ride! 'The Edge' is directed by multi MAC Award and Bistro Backstage Award winner Shawn Moninger. Musical Director, Ian Herman will accompany Sandra at the piano. Kahlil Kwame Bell provides percussion. NYC: DOROTHY BISHOP AND THE DOZEN DIVAS SHOW

Dorothy Bishop brings her 'Dozen Divas Show to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, November 21st at 9:30 pm. The show is directed by John Paolillo and written by Dorothy Bishop and James Jorden. A Yale trained soprano, Dorothy's incredible versatility and outrageous sense of humor landed her as a finalist on America's got Talent Season 4. She has headlined and emcee'd events all over the world including Soloist at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops, First Broadway National Tour of Master Class (Starring Faye Dunaway) Her own headline act (Viva la Diva) on the world's top luxury liners - Queen Mary 2, Royal Caribbean, Regent Seven Seas, and is presently touring with her own musical comedy The Dozen Divas Show. NYC: BEN RIMALOWER: PATTI ISSUES RETURNS TO THE DUPLEX

The award winning hit cabaret 'Patti Issues' will be performed by Ben Rimalower at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Friday & Saturday, November 21st & 22nd at 9:30 pm. Patti Issues marked Rimalower's debut as a playwright and performer, after serving as the director of numerous Off-Broadway plays, concerts and all-star benefits (and blogging for the Huffington Post). With a mix of comic irreverence, stark candor and show-biz bravado, Patti Issues poignantly explores the challenges facing LGBT parents and children while shining unique light on gay men's time-old obsessions with divas. When Ben Rimalower was eight years old, his father came out of the closet and embarked on a drug-fueled tear that left his family in tatters. Amid the chaos of his young life, Ben found comfort - like so many gay boys before him and after - in musical theater, and specifically in the transportive voice of Broadway star Patti LuPone. NYC: JOHN PIZZARELLI & JESSICA MOLASKEY AT THE CAFE

The acclaimed husband-wife jazz duo of John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey return to THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) for a 4-week run on Tuesday, October 28th through Saturday, November 22nd at 8:45 pm, with a late show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Their new show is called 'Grown Up Songs' and features songs by Stephen Sondheim, Johnny Mercer, Paul McCartney, Alan Jay Lerner, Adam Guettel, Billy Joel and more. They will be joined by a band including Kevin Kanner on drums, Martin Pizzarelli on double bass and Konrad Paszkudzki on piano. As always, John Pizzarelli will play guitar. There is a $55-$185 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
