John Jennings, is known internationally as a producer of Grammy award winning albums and songs and a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. A Washington, D.C. area resident, John Jennings first burst on the scene in 1986 as producer and lead guitarist for the then unknown Mary Chapin Carpenter. He has produced eight of her efforts, which have garnered four No. 1 singles, 11 Top Ten singles, five Grammy Awards, 19 CMA nominations and five CMA awards. In 1992 he produced Mary Chapin Carpenter's 'Come on Come on,' which yielded seven charting country singles and was certified quadruple platinum in the U.S. for sales exceeding four million copies. He has written a song to inspire anyone battling a serious illness. Music producer and lead guitarist John Jennings knows all about that fight•he was diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer in March.
