NYC: CHITA RIVERA, ROSIE O'DONNELL, JESSIE MUELLER AND MORE AT BIRDLAND

Broadway legend Chita Rivera will headline An Evening of Song, benefiting the Art Attack Foundation at BIRDLAND(315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, September 15th at 7:00 pm as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. This one-night-only show promises an array of standards, pop hits and original songs, from top artists on Yellow Sound Label. Founded by Dan Watt, the Art Attack Foundation's mission is to inspire community leaders, businesses, and individuals to participate and contribute in the education, enhancement and development of young performing artists. AAF is dedicated to providing opportunities, funding, and encouragement to assist young performers in realizing their full artistic potential. Scheduled to take part in this song-filled evening are: 2014 Tony winner Jessie Mueller (Beautiful), BD Wong (M. Butterfly), Andrew Lippa (Wild Party), Telly Leung (Godspell), Anika Larsen (Beautiful), Jim Caruso (Cast Party), Margo Seibert (Rocky), Donald Webber Jr (Motown), Christopher Jackson (Holler If Ya Hear Me), songwriters Marcy Hsisler and Zina Goldrich (Dear Edwina), and many more. Helping kick off the evening will be Rosie O'Donnell, co-founder of the Maravel Arts Center, which has received scholarship support from the Art Attack Foundation. This evening will have musical direction by Emmy Award-winner Michael Croiter. There is a $30-$45-$100 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.

NYC: NATALIE DOUGLAS IN "HELLO DOLLY ... THE MUSIC OF DOLLY PARTON"

Multi-award winning vocalist Natalie Douglas will bring her show "Hello Dolly ... The Music Of Dolly Parton" toBIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, September 15th at 9:30 pm. The show includes songs Dolly wrote, like "Jolene," "Coat of Many Colors" and "I Just Might" from the Broadway musical 9 to 5, in addition to numbers that Dolly covered, like Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush" and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven." Natalie will be joined by her longtime Musical Director Mark Hartman on piano, accordion, mandolin and vocals; Michael Blanco on bass; Scott Kuney on guitar and banjo; Joe Choroszewski on drums and Shanna Sharp on acoustic guitar and vocals. NYC: YOUN SUN NAH & ULF WAKENIUS DUO

Youn Sun Nah and the Ulf Wakenius Duo perform atTHE BLUE NOTE (131 West 3rd Street, NYC - 212-475-8592) on Monday & Tuesday, September 15th & 16th with shows at 8:00 & 10:30 pm. Youn Sun Nah is well regarded for her remarkable vocal prowess. The Korean jazz vocalist's ability to present each song in her own unique style filled full of emotions and passion has consistently captured her audience in attentive silence, ending with roaring appreciation. The songstress traverse the vocal spectrum effortlessly to the extent where she's not just another vocalist, she's a musical instrument. Growing up in a musical family where her father was a conductor and her mother, a musical actress, music has always been in her life. Nah eventually began her own musical journey and made her first debut at the tender age of 23 at a joint concert collaborating with the Korean Symphony Orchestra. The performance was her stepping-stone into the Korean music scene. Ulf Wakenius is a jazz guitarist extraordinaire acclaimed and celebrated all over the world. Between 1997 and 2007 Ulf held what may have been the most prestigious spot in jazz for a guitarist: a chair in the Oscar Peterson Quartet.This was the coronation of a career which included many record-breaking moments. There is a $20-25 cover.

NYC: MICHELA MARINO LERMAN: THE SONGS OF THE GREAT HOOFERS

Tap Dancer Michela Marino Lerman will bring her show 'The Songs of the Great Hoofers' to DIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Monday, September 15th with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Having studied with Buster Brown, Gregory Hines, Leroy Myers and Marion Coles, Michela Marino Lerman is a star within the tap dancing community. She runs the only weekly tap jam in New York City at the great Smalls Jazz Club and monthly sessions at Fat Cat. She has performed and collaborated with such musical greats as Benny Golson, Nicholas Payton, Roy Hargrove, Ravi Coltrane, Rasheed Ali, Frank Lacy, Joe Sanders, Ben Williams, Reggie Workman, Jennifer Holliday, and Theo Hill, to name just a few. She explores The Songs of the Great Hoofers at Dizzy's Club for one night only, joined by pianist Takeshi Ohbayashi, bassist Russell Hall, and drummer Kyle Poole. Call for cover/minimum information.
