TONIGHT IN NYC: JESSE LUTTRELL'S BAWDY RETURNS TO STAGE 72
Jesse Luttrell's wildly successful and ever-changing BAWDY continues atSTAGE 72 (formerly THE TRIAD(158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) with monthly performances on the last Saturday of every month. The next performance is on Saturday, May 25th at 9:30 pm. Special Guests: Rick Crom (Urinetown, Newsical, The Big Gay Musical) and Grove Street legend Maggie Wirth (The Ring Theatre, Marie's Crisis). The brainchild of trampy cabaret favorite Jesse Luttrell, BAWDY is headlined by Luttrell, and brings together cabaret, drag, and comedy performers of all classifications and orders in a celebration of adult variety paying homage to vaudeville, burlesque, and the hit television variety shows of the 50s and 60s. First conceived in 2009 as a benefit for Marriage Equality NEW YORK, BAWDY enjoyed sold-out runs at the same venue. After an extended break, BAWDY has returned. The May 25th Show will also welcome Burlesque superstars Lily Faye, Cassandra Rosebeetle, Sabra Soubrette and Grace Gotham and will also feature BAWDY dancers Vinny Celeiro, Dennis Necsary, Danny Lopez, Xalvador Tin-Bradbury and BAWDY's own kazoo girl: Laura Oldham.
