TOMORROW NIGHT ONLY - NYC: CECILY KATE SINGS STANDARDS AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Following the success of her debut album "Standards", Cecily Kate brings you a live performance of these treasured jazz and American Songbook standards at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, May 23rd at 7:00 pm. Cecily Kate will be joined by Reggie Berg on piano and the Greg Hammontree jazz trio. Cecily made her off Broadway debut as Belle in a "G & S Christmas Carol" where she was reviewed as a "Powerful, ringing soprano." She went on to play several roles such as Patty in "Grease", the title role in "Violet" and Roxie in "Chicago". Cecily has worked in two productions at the Paper Mill Playhouse where she received her Actors Equity card. Cecily made her Broadway debut in "A Wonderful Life" starring Brian Stokes Mitchell and Judy Kuhn. The show was named one of the ten best Theatre of 2005 by Time. Cecily spent a year sailing aboard Oceania Cruises where she performed her own cabaret and explored South America. Currently honed her cabaret show with Palame Productions performing around the tri-state area. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
