SPECIAL TONIGHT IN NYC: CABARET CARES GALA TO HONOR PETER LEAVY AND TOM GAMBLIN
FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT
Help Is On The Way Today, a 501c3 non-profit that assists children and youth living with HIV/AIDS, will hold their annual Gala on May 19th at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). The May 19th Gala will include a cocktail hour at 5:00 pm, with unlimited wine, beer, soda and special Gala cocktails, followed by a buffet dinner and dessert at 6:00 pm, a live auction with glamorous fashion, entertainment and travel items, and a show featuring Eric Michael Gillett, Stacy Sullivan, Gretchen Reinhagen, Alison Nusbaum, Hedda Lettuce and more performers to be announced. Jay Rogers and Carolyn Montgomery will Co-Host. At the show, the 2013 Cabaret Cares Ruth Kurtzman Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Peter Leavy, the publisher of Cabaret Scenes magazine. The 2013 Spirit Award will be presented to cabaret performer, Tom Gamblin. There is a $125 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. Order tickets at 718-672-6714.
