NYC: ELLEN FOLEY AT THE IRIDIUM
Ellen Foley will perform at IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB (1650 Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121) on Wednesday, May 22nd at 8:00 pm. Ellen has recently returned to her Rock & Roll roots, performing original and classic material with her new band, Ellen Foley and the Worried Men. This Spring she releases her new album, About Time. She is best known as The Girl on the multi-platinum duet with Meat Loaf, "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" in which she uttered the three immortal words: "Stop right there!" She also received several gold records and awards for her three solo albums recorded on Epic Records, produced by such rock legends as Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, and Mick Jones and Joe Strummer of The Clash. As an actor, she starred in the TV series "Night Court," and as host of the VH-1 series, "Top 21 Countdown." She also played featured roles in the films "Hair," "Tootsie," "Fatal Attraction," "Married to the Mob," and "Cocktail" – and leading roles on Broadway in Me and My Girl, Into The Woods, and the revival of Hair. Her Indie film, Lies I told My Little Sister, will be released later this year. There is a $30 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
