TONIGHT BALTIMORE: INDIE PERFORMING ARTIST SANDY ASIRVATHAM WELCOMES THE SUNSHINE
Baltimore musician Sandy Asirvatham returns to CABARET AT GERMANO'S (300 South High Street, Baltimore, MD - 410-752-4515 - ) on Friday, May 24th at 7:30 pm with a beautiful program devoted to songs that celebrate spring and summer. The show presents light-filled songs from Antonio Carlos Jobim, Michel Legrand, and other classic composers from many eras. As always, Asirvatham will include her own wryly observed originals. The singer-songwriter and pianist (and former CityPaper columnist) is well known to Baltimore culture vultures for her intellect and humor. She's also co-creator of the epic Mobtown Moon project and is always happy to play a Pink Floyd song or two upon request. Joining her are the superb Shareef Taher on drums and Jake Leckie on bass (with a fourth quartet member to be named. There is a $20 cover.
