54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) presents Peaches And Crime in "The Man Who Died!" on Saturday, August 1st at 9:30 pm. Inspired by the Golden Age of Radio, vaudeville sensation Peaches and Crime makes the audience part of the action in this raucous adventure! From the front doors of a Manhattan skyscraper to the treacherous Island of Skulls, anything is possible in this live drama where your choices determine if whoever done it can be brought to justice! Can you outwit a murderer over dinner? Come and discover the answer in a night of cabaret music and madcap disaster! The modern audience hungers for spectacle, and a group has at last stepped forward to sate that hunger. In an age where bands are a dime a dozen and musicians three-a-penny, Peaches And Crime stands at the forefront of a vaudeville renaissance. Original music by husband-and-wife songwriting duo Angela and Daniel Schwartz intermingled with comedic and dramatic performance turn an evening out into a showcase of love, wit and murder. On stage, this act never passes up an opportunity for dramatic flourish, comic antics, or sophisticated charm. From murder ballads to drinking songs, no style is unfamiliar to these eclectic entertainers. Colorful costumes, diverse instruments and flashy dances make any Peaches And Crime show well worth the cost of admission. Each individual's talents - be it mind-reading or pugilism - are shown to their finest, and together they wow even the most jaded dance-hall connoisseur. Such a group could easily rest on its laurels, but as they debut this new murder mystery it's easy to see that in this case the best is yet to come. There is a $25-$65 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
