NYC: BARB JUNGR: HARD RAIN: THE SONGS OF BOB DYLAN AND LEONARD COHEN

Acclaimed as "One of the best interpreters of Jacques Brel and Bob Dylan anywhere", Barb Jungr returns to the songs of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen with the release of Hard Rain this July to JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) with performances on Thursdays & Fridays, July 9th & 10th and 16th & 17th - all shows at 7:00 pm. Over the past few years the British chanteuse has been wowing critics and audiences alike at home and abroad with her insightful, intelligent interpretations of well-loved songs combined with her powerful and often witty performance style. Her earlier Dylan collection, 'Barb Jungr Sings Bob Dylan: Every Grain of Sand' (Linn Records 2002), is now regarded as a cult classic album. There is a $25 cover.

NYC: JOE'S PUB PRESENTS DANIEL KOREN: THE MOST IMPORTANT THING

Comic Daniel Koren is in search of the most important thing. Together with a virtual choir of alter egos, Daniel redefines musical comedy. He brings his show "Daniel Koren: The Most Important Thing" to JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Thursday, July 9th at 9:30 pm. Koren is an Emmy nominated comedian/composer originally from Israel and now based in New York. With over a million views with his innovative videos, Koren translated his online success into a live performance. Daniel graduated from Berklee College of music and his work has appeared on Comedy Central's Tosh.O, the Huffington Post and Ryan Seacrest. Theree is a $15 cover.

Seth Rudetsky's BROADWAY CHATTERBOX returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Thursdays at 5:00 pm. This week's show has has as Special Guest: TONY Award Winner Ruthie Ann Miles. Seth's weekly interview show always features stars, soon-to-be stars and folks behind the scenes of the musical theater stage - for just a $10 cover - 2-drink minimum. Best of all, all proceeds from the cover go to BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS!

NYC: JAMES JUDD & FRIENDS AT THE DUPLEX

In conjunction with his Midcareer Retrospective at MITF, NPR's James Judd (Snap Judgment) tells his unique , personal stories but this is the collection too racy for public radio. Instead is will be performed at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, July 9th at 7:00 pm. The show includes a performance by Audrey Rapoport and is irected by Madeline Saidenburg. James Judd is a favorite storyteller on NPR's radio show and podcast Snap Judgment. He recently closed the live show recording at BAM Opera House in May. He is presenting four nights of unique storytelling at The Duplex in conjunction with his Minor Midcareer Retrospective at the 2015 MITF Festival. But these are the stories of awkward celebrity encounters too risque for public radio. May include special guest performers. James is a former member of The Groundlings in Los Angeles. Audrey Rapoport brings her signature piece, "A Rat's Ass", to NYC. It is a short, possibly true, slightly musical tale of a Mouseketeer, faded glory, booze, and codeine. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: "NOT AS CUTE AS PICTURE" RETURNS TO THE DUPLEX

"Not as Cute as Picture", a GLAAD-Media Award Nominee for Outstanding Theater: Washington DC, returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438 ) on Thursdays, July 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd at at 9:30 pm. The semi-autobiographical "Not as Cute", written and performed by J.D. Cerna, directed by Nick Demos (Oklahoma), partner in Demos/Bizar Entertainment (producer of Tony-Award winner, Memphis), first ran in Washington, DC. The play is set in 1994, a time when young gay men's pursuit of purpose was often obstructed by the crashing reality of AIDS. J.D.Cerna is a gifted writer/ actor who uses a wicked sense of humor and his personal life experiences and perspectives to amplify the discussion around important LGBT issues and in particular, his own observations as a gay man. JD Cerna was a featured columnist for The Washington Blade from 2002 - 2005. He played the lead role opposite Mary Beth Hurt in Mark Christopher's ("54") first award-winning film, "Alkali, Iowa". There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: LYNN LOOSIER - PURE SOUL

From the Apollo Theater to Lincoln Center to The Town Hall to Joe's Pub, Lynn Loosier has brought audiences to their feet with her sultry, smooth, powerhouse voice. Backed by a knockout band, Lynn is bringing the show to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, July 9th at 7:00 pm for her farewell performance as a resident New Yorker. Ranging in styles from Eva Cassidy to Aretha Franklin, Lynn will leave her own sound in your heart. It will be a night to remember with the ultimate blue-eyed soul singer. There is a $24 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: DOROTHY BISHOP AND THE DOZEN DIVAS SHOW RETURNS

Dorothy Bishop brings her 'Dozen Divas Show to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, July 9th at 9:30 pm. The show is directed by John Paolillo and written by Dorothy Bishop and James Jorden. A Yale trained soprano, Dorothy's incredible versatility and outrageous sense of humor landed her as a finalist on America's got Talent Season 4. She has headlined and emcee'd events all over the world including Soloist at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops, First Broadway National Tour of Master Class (Starring Faye Dunaway) Her own headline act (Viva la Diva) on the world's top luxury liners - Queen Mary 2, Royal Caribbean, Regent Seven Seas, and is presently touring with her own musical comedy The Dozen Divas Show. She has played the ultra fabulous and top chic clubs of NYC including Broadway's New Klub Kazino and 42nd Streets hottest new nightclub - XL. There is a $22 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: MRS. KASHA DAVIS - THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR A COCKTAIL

Current RuPaul's Drag Race contestant, Mrs. Kasha Davis, will make her New York City cabaret debut with the premiere of 'There's Always Time For A Cocktail' at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Thursday, July 9th at 7:00 pm. The show is written by Edward Popil and directed by Ralph Meranti with musical direction by Josh D. Smith. 'There's Always Time For A Cocktail' is true life story of little Eddie Popil's transformation from a young boy in Scranton, PA, to "International Celebrity Housewife, Mrs. Kasha Davis," one of the stars of RuPaul's Drag Race. The ultimate hostess, Mrs. Davis promises an evening of music, stories and party games with a heartfelt story of love, acceptance and finding your own path. There is a $22-$40 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DARYL GLENN: DARYL SINGS STEVE- SONGS BY SONDHEIM

Daryl Glenn makes his solo debut at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) performing the songs of his favorite songwriter and friend, Stephen Sondheim on Thursday, July 9th at 7:00 pm. In this show " Daryl Sings Steve: Songs By Sondheim", Mr. Glenn will share the tunes that he feels closest to and anecdotes of his 'mostly postal' relationship with 'Steve'. The show will highlight several lesser-known Sondheim compositions and will celebrate this treasure of the American Musical Theatre. Mr. Glenn is the proud recipient (with co-star Jo Lynn Burks) of the NY Triple Crown for cabaret performance, winning 2009 Bistro, MAC and Nightlife Awards for his popular, long running tribute to Robert Altman's classic 1975 film masterpiece Nashville. Glenn is a multi-award winning performer who has appeared on the stages of New York's finest cabaret venues including Don't Tell Mama, The Triad, The Metropolitan Room, The Iridium Jazz Club and Feinstein's at The Loews Regency Hotel in his own full length productions. He has also appeared as a guest in shows at The Laura Beechman Theatre at The West Bank Cafe, The Galapagos Arts Center, The Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel and the fabulous 54 Below. Mr. Glenn is currently recording his debut album. This show also features Broadway's Julie Reiber (Wicked, Newsies, Priscilla) and Dominic Paolillo. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: 54 BELOW PRESENTS TIA FULLER

Tia Fuller, an acclaimed jazz musician and recording artist, performs at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, July 9th at 9:30 pm. This show will let you experience Tia Fuller's album, Angelic Warrior, live at 54 Below. This album marks her deep-rooted evolution as an instrumentalist, composer and bandleader. After five years in Beyonce's band, the pop diva's attention to detail in the studio rubbed off on Fuller. The concert will feature live versions of the highly praised numbers from the album, ranging from Cole Porter mashups to new takes on popular R&B artists to the Beatles. Fuller applies her pop and jazz chops on behalf of some of the hottest artists in music today. The band features Shamie Royston on Piano, Mimi Jones on Bass and Rudy Royston on Drums. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
