THE PERSIAN ROOM IN ALI BABA HOUSE OF KABOB (1155 West State Road 434, Longwood, FL - 407-637-2890 - ) welcomes cabaret & jazz singer John Lariviere in his tribute to Johnny Mercer entitled Moon River on Tuesday, June 2nd, at 8:00 pm. John Lariviere regularly headlines throughout Southeast Florida performing at local theatres and clubs. He has appeared in sold-out performances of his one-man show The Sinatra Songbook, and received critical acclaim for his tribute to the music of Johnny Mercer, Moon River. His cabaret show honoring the prolific composer/ lyricist Johnny Mercer features such songs as "Blues InThe Night", "Autumn Leaves", "Satin Doll", "Skylark", "That Old Black Magic", "Laura", "Something's Gotta Give", "Come Rain Or Come Shine", "Accentuate The Positive", and many more! The Persian Room is Central Florida's newest premier entertainment venue offering a diverse range of live entertainment on a regular basis. The Persian Room presents Cabaret Acts, Jazz Artists, Comedians and of course their Friday and Saturday night Belly Dancers. The Persian Room is unique. An intimate setting with just 130 seats The Persian Room offers a full menu of exotic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods, special "show time" tapas, beer, wine, soda, coffees, teas and desserts. There is a $10 cover plus a 1 drink minimum.
