MAC Award-winning singer & piano entertainer Sammy Goldstein will be performing two solo concerts as a benefit for the Historic Renovation of the First Christian Church of Anniston, Alabama (http://www.fccanniston.org/ ), celebrating its 130th Anniversary. The concerts will take place at the ANNISTON MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY (800 Museum Drive, Anniston, AL - 256-237-6766) on Saturday, June 6th at 2:00 & 6:00 pm. Sammy's show will combine Broadway Showstoppers, songs by Nat King Cole, the Rat Pack, the songs of Gershwin, Porter & Berlin, madcap comedy songs and more. CHICAGO: SINGERS WITH A SONG - GREAT SINGERS AND THE SONG THAT MADE THEM FAMOUS!
"Signature With a Song: great American singers and the song that made them famous" will be presented at THE SKOKIE THEATRE (7924 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, IL - 847-677-7761) on Saturday, June 6th at 8:00 pm. The show, first of 4-part 'EVERYONE LOVES A PIANO! ' series at the Skokie, pays tribute to the signature songs of such artists as Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, June Christy, Doris Day, Judy Garland, Etta James, Carole King, Eartha Kitt, Julie London, Liza Minnelli, Mel Torme Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, and many more. Cast includes Laura Freeman, Jeff Hedberg, Frieda Lee, Beckie Menzie, Daryl Nitz, Johnny Rodgers, and special guest Denise Tomasello.
