NYC: METROPOLITAN ROOM PRESENTS 1ST SNEAK PEEK FALL PREVIEW
For its first "Sneak Peek Fall Preview" on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 pm, THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) will present T. Oliver Reid, Richard Pryor Jr., Luba Mason, Dorothy Bishop, Devin Bing, Shelly Burch, Maxine Linehan and Raven O performing excerpts from their upcoming shows. This showcase of the fall schedule is produced by Joseph Macchia and Bernie Furshpan. It is the first time the Metropolitan Room has offered audiences and the press this kind of an all-in-one sampler of its schedule. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. NYC: BARRET IS BACK ON RESTAURANT ROW
Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard.
