NYC: BARRET IS BACK ON RESTAURANT ROW

Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. There is no cover charge

The Open mic night hosted by Sarah Rice & Craig Pomranz on Thursdays on the Upper West Side has changed it's shownight! BROADWAY SINGS AT THE WEST END will now be held every MONDAY night,at THE WEST END(955 West End Avenue, NYC - 212-531-4759) from 7:00 to 9:00 pm (signup after 6:30 pm). An open mic with multi-award winning hosts Sarah and Craig bring the ultimate New York experience to the Upper West Side with all kinds of talent singing all genres of music -Broadway, Pop, Jazz, Classical, all are welcomed. NYC: TIM REALBUTO: WUNDERKIND - A 'GROWING UP IN SHOWBIZ' STORY

Former child "star" and current NYC-based award-winning writer and performer Tim Realbuto (Ghostlight; The Emperor's Club) kicks off his NYC tour (and 30th birthday) at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Monday, September 1st at 7:00 pm in an all-new show entitled 'Tim Realbuto: Wunkerkind', based on his popular show 'Alone (With Plenty of Help)', which recently had a sold-out engagement at 54 Below. Call for cover/minimum information. In this deeply personal, poignant and hilarious show, Tim will tell the (mostly*) true story of how he grew up in show business and went from former child actor to the adult writer of the popular new Broadway-bound musical Ghostlight. Some of Tim's famous Broadway friends will help him along the way, playing different characters from his past, voices in his head, and sometimes (when things get too hard), even playing Tim himself There is a $10-$20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: BEN PLATT AT 54 BELOW

Ben Platt will perform at 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, September 1st at 7:00 pm. Platt had the "Magic" in him onscreen as Benji Applebaum in Universal's smash hit Pitch Perfect, and he's currently starring on Broadway as Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon. Now, to celebrate finally making the move to NYC, Ben Platt comes to 54 Below to sing some of his favorites and share tales of Mormons, his fellow aca-people, and of course, his family of singing Jews. Expect everything from soul, to Pop and R&B to musical theatre and some special guests! There is a $40-$55 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: GRIND: THE MOVIE IN CONCERT WITH ANTHONY RAPP & MORE

Fresh off the film festival circuit, and for the first time in concert, the musical short film Grind will be performed at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, September 1st at 9:30 pm. GRIND explores the ins and outs of connection in an online world. Do we ever really know who we're talking to? Anthony Rapp (Rent, If/Then), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Drew Brody and more take us on a musical journey of love and connection in an era where who we are is defined by who we pretend to be. There is a $30-$40 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: SMASHED UP: A LATE-NIGHT MASHUP BASH

A cast of Broadway's brightest young talent, led by musical director Benjamin Rauhala, will present an evening of wild mash-ups at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, September 1st at 11:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Series! From Bernstein to Bareilles, from Schwartz to Spears - audiences can expect an eclectic mix of pop and musical theater tunes, always with an unexpected twist. As the cast celebrates the end of the summer, audiences will enjoy new twists on tunes by Beyonce Elton John, Carole King, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Sara Bareilles, Britney Spears, John Lennon, Stephen Schwartz, Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Leonard Bernstein, Christina Aguilera, A Great Big World, Blu Cantrell and many more within the evening's medleys and mash-ups. NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
