PALM SPRINGS: AMY & FREDDY AT THE COPA

Palm Springs can't get enough of Amy Armstrong & Freddy Allen, and now they are back to the desert audience they love! Amy & Freddy will appear at THE COPA (244 East Amado Road, Palm Springs CA - 760-866-0021) on Friday & Saturday, July 18th & 19th at 8:00 pm. Quite possibly, Amy & Freddy can lay claim to one of the longest running gigs in show biz, as headliners for 13 consecutive years on one of the world's highest profile cruise line companies, RSVP Vacations. Amy Armstrong is the unforgettable sassy, brassy, saucy, plus sized chanteuse who belts, bowdlerizes, boogies, and bares her soul at the microphone. Freddy Allen, Pianist and Music Director, sometimes joins her in song as the patience-of-a-saint, ivory-tickling sidekick. Theirs is a rare talent to captivate, amuse and enchant ... don't miss it! Call for cover/minimum information.

SAN FRANCISCO: AMANDA KING AT SOCIETY CABARET

Acclaimed chanteuse Amanda King brings together two seemingly disparate musical genres in an exciting and entertaining evening of song: Country & Jazz, at SOCIETY CABARET AT THE HOTEL REX (562 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 - 800-982-2787) on Friday, July 18th at 8:00 pm. These genres share much in common: gorgeous melodies, aching emotions and swinging rhythms. From popular music standards to country anthems to western swing, experience country music with jazz harmonies and jazz standards with country flavor. There will also be a tribute to the singing cowboys and cowgirls of black western movie musicals and a very special guest! Call for cover/minimum information.
