HOTLINE MEMBER EVENT TONIGHT IN NYC: MAN ABOUT TOWN: THE WIT AND WISDOM OF NOEL COWARD
Eric Michael Gillett sings the lyrics of Noel Coward in a special evening created solely to support Cabaret Cares/Help is On the Way Today on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). In Man About Town, Gillett will focus on the wittiest and most sophisticated of Coward's huge song catalogue and the repertoire will include gems like "Uncle Harry," "Nina," "Why Do the Wrong People Travel," "Mad Dogs and Englishmen," as well as guest performers singing little known gems like "What's Going to Happen to the Tots." For this special one-night event, Gillett will invite the indomitable and hilarious Cookie Stark, the octogenarian chanteuse who has been tearing up audiences with shows like What Can You Get a Nudist for Her Birthday and Ready or Not, as well as Robin Westle, whose shows include Why Are You Telling Me? and No Regrets, to join him onstage in their own personal salutes to Noel Coward. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
