NYC: ANGELA SHULTZ PRESENTS "REALITY CHECK"

NYC cabaret artist Angela Shultz takes to the stage with her 2014 show "Reality Check" on Saturdays, April 26 and May 10, both shows at 5:30pm, at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788). There's a fine line between fantasy and reality. For many people, that line is thin and blurred. In Angela Shultz's new show, she explores both sides of that blurred line, and the people in serious need of a "REALITY CHECK"! Shultz uses an eclectic list of songs pulled from Broadway classics to newer hits by Joe Iconis and Jane Siberry to tell the stories of unrequited love, cat lovers, shark haters and more. MAC and Bistro Award winning songwriter Brett Kristofferson will serve as the show's musical director. Lennie Watts directs. Angela Shultz is the 2010 recipient of the Hanson Award from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs, as well as a 2012 Nominee for Best Female Vocalist for her show, "Do Overs." She has appeared at BB Kings, The Duplex, Metropolitan Room, Laurie Beechman Theatre, Gotham Comedy Club and many more New York City venues. Angela also directed Hector Coris' 2010 MAC Award-winning performance in Life is Wonderful. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JUDY AND LIZA TOGETHER AGAIN AT MAMA' S

Cabaret favorites Tommy Femia and Rick Skye have teamed up for another evening of "Judy and Liza Together Again" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturdays, April 19th & 26th at 8:00 pm. They are joined by Ricky Ritzel (as Mort) at the piano. These MAC Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) will pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is best known for writing a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka", "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" for which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance". There is a $25 cover charge and a 2 drink minimum.

NYC: THE SCREW YOU REVUE AT THE DUPLEX

Join Lady Winifred (Dewey Chaffee) and her best gal pal Miss Didi Panache (Douglas Edwards) with their unique brand of Vegas inspired, over-the-top, raunchy, improvised comedy at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Saturday, April 12th at 9:30 pm. The duo challenges the threshold of each audience by proving that absolutely no subject is taboo. Douglas and Dewey are a married couple. They've been together nearly a decade. In that time, the duo discovered that they are not only compatible in life, but that they share a fantastic chemistry on the stage as well. Douglas earned a degree in Opera at Stetson University. Dewey spent 23 years at the "Disney University." Together, they are Didi Panache and Lady Winifred, stars of "The Screw You Revue," an improvised comedy musical revue. Spend a night with two twenty-something girls from Connecticut relating their experiencing their first year in NYC at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Saturday, April 26th at 7:00 pm. Join Dana and Harmony as they tell their stories of life in the theatre, dating in the big city, and just figuring it out. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JOAN PETRELLA & DEBRA ALLEE AT THE MET

After their successful debuts last year, Joan Petrella and Debra Allee are returning toTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, April 26th at 4:00 pm with an evening of songs about travel, places, and journeys through life, drawn from the American songbook, musical theater, jazz and pop, with duets and solos. With stage direction by Teri Ralston, the well-known director, performer and teacher, and musical direction by jazz pianist, composer, and arranger, Dan Furman, the show will also feature bass and drums. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: STACY SULLIVAN: IT'S A GOOD DAY, A TRIBUTE TO MISS PEGGY LEE

It's A Good Day, A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee, featuring Stacy Sullivan, will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, April 26th at 7:00 pm. The show is a journey of discovery through the extraordinary musical legacy of Peggy Lee and the personal struggles of a woman whose voice captivated millions. The classic songs, intricate rhythms, and exquisite arrangements that defined her career are elegantly portrayed in this loving homage, created with. The show is accompanied by the seasoned jazz master Jon Weber on piano and Steve Doyle on Bass, Bucky Pizzarelli, Guitar. Winner of the 2013 Female Vocalist of the Year MAC Award, Stacy Sullivan has appeared in venues around the world, from The Brasserie Zedel in London to The Cafe Carlyle in New York. She has recorded five albums for the LML Music label, including her latest, "It's a Good Day," winner of the 2013 Lamott/Friedman Award. Stacy can also be heard regularly on Sirius Radio's "Siriously Sinatra," "The Jonathon Schwartz Show" on WNYC, and NPR's "Piano Jazz Rising Stars." There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

MANHATTAN: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN

NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). EEEK! A MOUSICAL! will be presented at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Saturdays in April and May at 11:00 am. This musical fable is brought up to date in a fun & lively show for all ages. Bara, our City Mom (Julia Menn) is finding the hectic pace of life a little bit frustrating, with all the new technology and longs for an escape to the Country to visit her sister, Clarisa (Vicki Oceguera) and her family. A few hours proves to be all the Peace & Quite this gang can take! And, when the country mice go to the city they find the throngs of people and honking horns are a little too frightening! Does each family realize their Happiness, may not be everyone's Happiness? Does this fable make the point that each of us is different and we should love and respect our differences? NYC: MELISSA ERRICO AT THE CORNER OF 54th & CRAZY

Broadway singer Melissa Errico will perform her show 'At The Corner of 54th & Crazy' at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday and Thursday, April 22nd & 24th at 7:00 pm and Friday & Saturday, April 25th & 26th at 8:00 pm. The beauty, intelligence, charisma and singular silver voice of Melissa Errico has been wowing audiences since she was plucked out of Yale to star in the first national touring company of Les Miserables. Since then, Broadway has embraced her in My Fair Lady (Eliza, 1993 revival), High Society, Amour (Tony nomination) and, most recently, Irving Berlin's White Christmas.
