D.C.: KEVIN EUBANKS AT BLUE'S ALLEY

Master guitarist Kevin Eubanks will appear atBLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, March 20th through 23rd with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Kevin was first drawn into music listening to the energetic sounds of fusion and progressive rock, then went on to study at Berklee. He has played with icons including McCoy Tyner, Art Blakey, Roy Haynes, Dave Holland and Ron Carter. In his own distinctive early career, Eubanks released many recordings for Elektra, GRP and Blue Note before his current signing with Mack Avenue in 2010. Call for cover/minimum information.

MARYLAND: THE JAMES BAZEN PROJECT

The James Bazen Project will be presented at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Thursday, March 20th at 7:30 pm. After graduate music studies at DePaul University in Chicago woodwind specialist, composer and producer James Bazen moved to the D. C. area in 1985. During his career he has played clubs and concerts across the country including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC. In 1990 he formed the James Bazen Project. In 1993 JBP released its CD "Stranger Things" which features a potent mix of bebop and contemporary jazz. It debuted to overwhelmingly positive reviews and is still getting national air play. A typical live performance will include not only originals but also jazz classics as well as unique interpretations of pop music of the 60's, 70's all the way through to what's hot today. FLORIDA: TOM WOPAT AT THE ROYAL ROOM

Returning for the first time since 2007, Tom Wopat will appear at THE ROYAL ROOM at THE COLONY HOTEL (155 Hammond Avenue, Palm Beach, FL - 561-659-8100) on Tuesday through Saturday, March 18th through 22nd at 8:30 pm. Tom Wopat first came to public attention in the late 1970s as the freewheeling Luke Duke on the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. In 1977, he made his Broadway debut in Cy Coleman's I Love My Wife. Wopat went on to perform in the Tony Award•winning City of Angels and Guys and Dolls. He received a Tony nomination for creating the role of Frank Butler in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun, opposite Bernadette Peters. In 2008, Wopat returned to Broadway as Tom Hurley in A Catered Affair with Faith Prince and Harvey Fierstein. 2011 saw him again on Broadway starring as Frank Abagnale Sr. in the new adaptation of Catch Me If You Can. His TV credits include a leading role in Cybill, a recurring role on Home Improvement, the critically acclaimed NBC movie Just My Imagination, and most recently HBO's Taking Chance alongside Kevin Bacon. Wopat has also become a successful recording artist with many albums to his credit, including A Little Bit Closer, Don't Look Back, Learning to Love, and The Still of the Night. In 2005, he released Dissertation on the State of Bliss, featuring the music of Harold Arlen, and his most recent offering, Consider it Swung.
