PALM SPRINGS: ADAM PASCAL AT THE COPA
Actor, singer and recording artist Adam Pascal will perform at THE COPA (244 East Amado Road, Palm Springs CA - 760-866-0021) on Thursday & Friday, March 20th & 21st at 8:00 pm. Adam is best known to audiences for his performance as Roger Davis in the Original Broadway Cast, 2005 Movie Version, and Broadway tour of the Broadway Musical "Rent". Adam is also known for originating the role of Radames in Elton John and Tim Rice's "Aida", for playing the Emcee in the 1998 revival of Cabaret, and most recently as Huey Calhoun in the Broadway Company of Memphis. LOS ANGELES: JANE KINSEY IN THE KINSEY REPORT - "THE DOCTOR IS IN!"
Jane Kinsey brings her show The Kinsey Report - "The Doctor is in!" to M BAR (1253 North Vine Street, Hollywood, CA - 323-856-0036 - ) on Friday, March 22nd at 8:00 pm. The show is written by Jane Kinsey and Clifford Bell. Musical Director is Tim Butterworth, With Peter A Eran on bass and Tom Bowe on drums. A special "Mystery Guest" will also be in the show. There is a $20 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
LOS ANGELES: DOLORES PETERSEN AT THE GARDENIA
Dolores Peterson, a tireless promoter of Los Angeles jazz and live performance, will perform at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday & Saturday, March 21st & 22nd at 9:00 pm. An avid fan who selflessly champions the musical ambitions of others, and who for years hosted shows at the Hollywood Studio Bar and Grill, possesses a fine vocal instrument, which she shares in her show, augmented by talented friends she has gathered over the years. SAN FRANCISCO: VONDA SHEPARD AT FEINSTEIN'S
World-renowned artist, Vonda Shepard will perform atFEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) on Friday, March 21st at 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 22nd at 7:00 pm. Making her Feinstein's debut, Shepard, on the acoustic piano, will be accompanied by her all-star players - James Ralston on guitar (Tina Turner for 22 years) and Jim Hanson on bass (Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen). Featuring intimate versions of Vonda's songs - as well as some of their favorite covers, including The Sweet Inspirations' "Sweet Inspiration" - this show is promises to get audiences on their feet. There is a $40-$55 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
SAN FRANCISCO: YOSHI'S PRESENTS SINBAD
Actor and Comedian Sinbad will perform at YOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Friday, March 21st with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Sinbad arrived on the comedy scene with a " hit'em in the face" style of comedy that has kept audiences laughing in the aisles for over the past two decades. He freely admits that he doesn't knows any jokes, except for the ones that his dad told him "back in the day". The basis of his humor comes from everyone he's meets, everything he's seen, and everything he's done. Sinbad has appeared on the FX Television series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Also, his long awaited stand-up special aired on Comedy Central this past February. Most recently, Sinbad was seen in the third season of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. There is a $35 cover.
