THE BLUE NOTE (131 West 3rd Street, NYC - 212-475-8592) welcomes back Chris Botti for his 9th holiday residency, Monday through Saturday, from Monday, December 16th through Monday, December 30th with shows at 8:00 & 10:30 pm. The show features Chris Botti, trumpet; Billy Kilson, drums; Leonardo Amuedo, guitar; Geoffrey Keezer, piano; Andy Ezrin, keys; Richie Goods, bass; Sy Smith, vocals; and Serena Mckinney, violin. Since the 2004 release of his critically acclaimed album When I Fall in Love, Botti has become America's largest-selling jazz instrumental artist. His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music, achieving multiple gold and platinum certifications, four No. 1 albums on Billboard's Jazz Albums listings, and this year, his first GRAMMY as a leader. Over the past three decades, Botti has recorded and performed with the best in music. Hitting the road for as many as 300 days per year, the trumpeter and his incredible band have also performed with many of the finest symphonies and at some of the world's most prestigious venues. Playing with his uniquely expressive sound and soaring musical imagination, Botti is joined on his new GRAMMY-winning Impressions by featured artists Andrea Bocelli, Vince Gill, Herbie Hancock, Mark Knopfler, David Foster, and Caroline Campbell. The Mike Stern Band featuring Randy Brecker, Dennis Chambers & Anthony Jackson will perform at THE IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB (1650 Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121) on Thursday through Sunday, December 18th through 22nd with shows at 8:30 & 10:30 pm. In a career that spans three decades and a discography that includes more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings, six-time GRAMMY nominee Mike Stern has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and composers of his generation. There is a $45-$55 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
