CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: TED ROSENTHAL TRIO HOLIDAY SHOW
The Ted Rosenthal Trio (Ted Rosenthal, piano; Noriko Ueda, bass; and Tim Horner, drums) present their Holiday Show at DIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Tuesday, December 3rd with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Ted Rosenthal, a Long Island native, first gained international acclaim by winning the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition in 1988. Since then, Rosenthal has made 13 recordings as a leader and performed with Gerry Mulligan, Art Farmer, Phil Woods, Bob Brookmeyer, and more. The Ted Rosenthal Trio performance at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola coincides with the release of its new holiday album, Wonderland. The Trio's intricate use of dynamics demands attention from listeners, and its ability to engage audiences with bluesy reinterpretations of standards frames its rebirth of tradition through wonderfully creative lenses. There is a $30 cover.
