CABARET TONIGHT IN L.A.: DIVAS DIVINE IN NEW SHOW AT ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATER
"Hot Flashes With Divas Divine" will be presented on Sunday, August 4th at 2:00 pm at the THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER THEATRE (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) in a cabaret style concert as part of Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Series. The show, starring Deborah Wheeler-Ure and Joanne Lapointe, will look back at their lives - and most women's lives, with an eclectic range of song styles that punctuate and span the years of a woman's discover of life and the changes they bring, and promises many cheers and tears. Joanne Lapointe has appeared in dozens of musical theater productions and kiddingly admits to playing the role of Evita's Mother in four different productions. The equally talented Deborah Wheeler-Ure performed and directed many theater productions before settling into cabaret and as a motivational singer. Their previous Divas Divine shows including "From Pop To Op" and "In Love", have played several venues including Lyon's English Grill to great reviews. They will be accompanied by Musical Director Rob Woyshner on piano. There is a $10 cover (cash only).
