Weaving an informative narrative into a well-paced performance, featuring some of Anita O'Day's most popular songs, acclaimed jazz vocalist Vicki Burns pays a loving tribute to one of her greatest musical influences at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, April 23rd at 7:00 pm. With ingenious arrangements by musical director, Ed Mac Eachen, which closely follow the originals, O'Days repertoire is reborn with a fresh interpretation by Vicki Burns. Vicki Burns is a jazz singer who knows how to delight and enthrall her audience. A vocalist with impeccable taste, a sure sense of rhythm and a glorious tone, she infuses each song with heartfelt expression, digging into the lyrics and melody for their richest interpretation. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
