BOS: SCULLERS PRESENTS HIROSHIMA
SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB(400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111) presents Hiroshima on Thursday, April 25th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Hiroshima is an American jazz fusion/smooth jazz band formed in 1974 by Sansei Japanese American Dan Kuramoto, Peter Hata, June Kuramoto, Johnny Mori, Dave Iwataki and Danny Yamamoto. The band integrates traditional Japanese instruments into their musical blend and has generally been both commercial and creative within its genre. Dinner/show: $70 Show only: $30

Canadian Jazz Vocalist and 2007 MAC Award Nominee (Best Major Jazz Vocalist) Adi Braun will perform at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) Thursday through Saturday, April 25th through 27th at 8:00 pm. She is joined on stage by her band (Pat Collins, Jordan Klapman, Steve Heathcote) Adi has a long list of cabaret, concert and theatre successes to her credit. She has performed in every major jazz and concert venue in Toronto, has toured Canada, the United States and Europe, and released four critically acclaimed CDs, Delishious, The Rules of the Game, Live at the Metropolitan Room, and her latest offering Canadian Scenes I featuring all original material. Adi's repertoire ranges from the Great American songbook, to European cabaret, to contemporary songs by Canada legend's Shirley Eikhard and Gordon Lightfoot as well as her own originals. There is a $15 music charge.

BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) presents Jazz Vocalist Karrin Allyson Thursday through Saturday, April 25th through 27th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Having released 13 top selling albums, she has music lovers and critics around the world shouting her name from the rooftops, marveling at the range of this extraordinary musician, who moves with such ease and authority from the Great American Songbook of Gershwin and Porter to the Great American Jazz Songbook of Duke and Thelonious and Miles and Dizzy, jet-setting to Rio and Paris and swinging back home to pick up Bonnie Raitt and Joni Mitchell and Jimmy Webb.
