NYC: T. OLIVER REID WITH A SATURDAY NIGHT IN HARLEM IN THE 30s
T. Oliver Reid, a veteran of numerous Tony Award winning Broadway musicals, 2012 MAC award recipient for Best Debut-male and the 2011 Julie Wilson award, will will perform at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Wednesday, February 6th at 7:00 pm. The show depicts an evening of club-hopping to the music of Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington and Andy Razaf ... through the elegant nightclubs and working class speakeasies that made uptown gay and delightful, however dull and depressing downtown Manhattan could be. In 1934, on a Saturday night in New York City, if you were boozin' and jazzin', you were doing it in Harlem. There is a $20-$30 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
